ABOUT ME
Maral Rostamkhani is an interdisciplinary artist and violinist born in Tehran in 2001.
With a background in fine arts from her painter mother.
she studied classical violin at the Tehran Conservatory and earned her bachelor's degree at YaÅŸar University in Ä°zmir, where she graduated as the top student of the music department.
Maral is an accomplished violinist with years of performance experience in orchestras and chamber ensembles. Her work is characterized by meticulous attention to detail, a love for storytelling, and an unyielding curiosity about the boundaries between art and life.
Her artistic journey is deeply rooted in the intersection of sound, light, and human perception. Maral blends her academic foundation with a profound passion for contemporary art and experimental forms of
expression. She is also the creator of gelbfenster, a platform dedicated to sharing her artistic projects and unique perspectives on the interplay of music, visuals, and storytelling.
Her video art Unlimitation in Limitation was recently selected for THE BODY LANGUAGE 2025 exhibition, curated by Luca Curci and presented by ITSLIQUID Group in collaboration with ACIT Venice, Italian-German Cultural Association. The exhibition will take place at the historic Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello in Venice, Italy.
